My son has a Thomas the train set (Bachmann G large series). The couplers that came with the set are absolutely horrible. They would dis-engage about every 2-3 times around the oval track. They have fallen off so many times that he has actually lost all of the "hooks?" and pins. We need to replace them. The LGB brand universal G series couplers look identical, but are they? Also, can we upgrade to a better coupling system? Maybe a knuckle system? Which brand would be compatible with Bachmann G trains (thomas)? HELP- twist ties just aren't cutting it.
Thanks in advance.
You can get more of the LGB "Type" of coupler, and they could be made to work and quite well. But if you want a knuckle type system, KD couplers are the ones for you.

On the Lt side of the page you'll see in a box, "Couplers". Choose it or choose "Conversions" at the top tool bar of the page and locate your brand of G gauge equip. It will tell you what couplers fit your stuff.
