Love your build, you mention you work from reference pictures and it tells I love the rock colours, and the weathering is already looking great, plus nice grass, in my experience different tracks can weather differently especially on how much traffic there is, but seeing your work I suspect that has already occurred to you. Lovely build great to see it showcased here.

Thank you very much Jaz, very much appreciated.

Still working on my mining company building, the walls and the walkways are all done. Next will be the outside lights, installing the walkways, some piping, cables along the walls and canopies over the doors.

How did you do your weathering?...or did you describe this earlier??
Sorry, must of described it on my Facebook page only.

We all know this kit from Walthers called the "New River Mining Co.". I decided to cover the entire building with pre-weathered corrugated sheets from Goodwood Scenics.
Every piece is cut in panel size and installed with double sided tape. More paint is added to cover the shinning metal, which creates extra weathering.
Yes, it is a long process, but like all my other buildings, they don't look like the cover of the box.
Hope you like it so far, lots more to come.

Because I'm very busy with work, I decided to share with you all, some photos I've taken with a new app. that stack images to create focused photos. I should be back working on my layout in about 2 months, but will still do small things not to demanding. Enjoy in the mean time.

Lloyd - I have read good things about stacking software. You have done an excellent job with it. While I like all of the pictures, I like the first and third ones the most. Of course, your scenery is most excellent as well.
Thanks Willie,
The first is also my favorite......so far. I only have 40% of the layout with scenery.
I have to go with the second picture next, because it is the area with the most details, which was fun to do.

Love seeing your work.
Lloyd, thanks for sharing. Love it all. Too timid to play with the photo stacking software. Looks like you got it down though
Thank you both.
Lynn, I should be back in March, unfortunately, work took precedence.
Tom, Taking focus pictures can bring out lots of flaws...lol

Did a little bit of work last night and tonight. Installing windows, piping, goose lamps, few roofs, and a few other details.

WOW, it's been a while.
Mid February I went on a cruise and when I got back, I ended up with bronchitis for 4 weeks, than vertigo for a week.
Now I'm back in to modeling.

My mining building is almost done. Once I installed 12 led's inside with separators, so that not all windows would be lit, I closed my roofs. I then added roof details, led's outside and walkways. Still need to add wiring details and weathering of the base of the building.

I also added a few details to my orchard scene.
