Having some fun

Wasn't sure where to post this, so hope it's ok in the General Discussion forum.

Today, Ken was:
A. Bored
B. Curious about using Ox-Gard (No-Ox) on track
C. Wanting to run some trains

So, I assembled an almost 4x8 layout on the floor of my computer/hobby room with EZ track. I got a bunch of my locomotives and rolling stock out of the storage containers for the first time in a few years and ran some trains.
Electrical conductivity in the EZ track was bad before I stored it and worse now. I used Ox-Gard on all of it and started doing some testing. Overall, the effect was very positive. I was able to run trains with only a few stutters here and there. I ran my Indiana Railroad, Illinois Central and Penn Central locomotives with success so I added some rolling stock to the mix. I interchanged a few cars at the runaround track and generally just enjoyed running some trains for a while. The downside was I was sitting on the floor, so it hurt getting back up LOL Here's a few pics from the short session. The hopper with Oil Belt Traction Company on it was a retirement gift from a friend who wrote his college term paper about the OBTC back in the early 60's. I've got a couple short videos I may post a link to later, but they're nothing too special. Just nice running trains again.

Looks like fun Ken, and that’s what it’s all about!
I had a good friend who’d call me when he got a new O scale loco and we’d set up track that went all around the house.
By the way is that a Gibson in the background?

Thanks Terry, may have to get one.
Currently running one of my MTH Indiana Railroad GP38-2's pulling a 16 car train. Seems to be a little slippage at times, but I'd say that's mainly due to the Ox-Gard and not so much the weight it's pulling. I was going to run two engines, but I need to do some speed matching before I can run any of them together. Their speeds are all vastly different from each other at this point.
Here's a short video of my temporary layout in action. Video
