Graphite Used to Improve Electrical Contact

I've been reading and viewing videos where graphite when used sparingly on track improves electical contact between DCC locomotives and the track. I haven't tried using graphite and wonder if any of the DCC Forum members have used graphite on their layouts and if they have seen any improvement in DCC locomotive operation?

Thanks.

Well, I was going to object to lubricant on the tracks. Then I remembered that I have sometimes put a very sparing amount of oil on the tracks. That was such a non-intuitive treatment, that they made me promise I would not do it at the club, even after I assured everyone it was just something I do at home...

I’ve used it with good results but in moderation.
Too much and I’ve noticed it building up on wheels.
Good on turnouts tho!
