GP40-2 with 88" Nose??

I am starting to make my Union Pacific Longview Local (LIC55) power. 4 of the 5 units are GP40-2's 2 of them are EX: SP (1422 and 1434) so I know they have the 88" nose. The other 2 are EX WP (9990 and 9991) but I can not tell from photos if they are the standard 81" or the 88". Anyone know an easy way to tell? Also these engines all had various light kits that are not boxed in. Does anyone make these? I know DW and DA make the light kits, but not the blanked out ones. Thanks in advance.

Compare the side shots...

That's about it. There might be a resource site, however I do not know it.

9991 looks like an 88" to me. Not sure about 9990. For blanked out lights, I'd suggest the BLMA removed light cover plates.

Well, seeing as how the 88" nose was introduced in 1976 and WP's GP40-2s were built in 1979-80, I would hazard a guess that they came with the 88" nose. :) :)

It's a subtle, but noticeable difference when you look at the photos. The 88" noses actually appear longer.
