Wondering if anybody has ever run across or knows if there is available on CD any GN.steam sounds, perticularly the Articulateds besides the video series from a few years ago which i have.

If the are any old/used record stores in your area, check them out. Back before CD's there were several companies that pressed records of steam sounds from old tape recordings. Mobile Fidelity Records was one brand that did this.
