Among the crowd hurrying through Los Angeles' Union Station to board the midnight sleeper was a tall striking blonde. She wore an expensive fur coat, her hair was hidden by a becoming turban, and her sun-tanned legs were bare. Upon boarding the train she went right to her berth, and it was then I witnessed the last word in streamlined preparedness. To my amazement, when she took off her fur coat and turban, I discovered that underneath she had on blue silk pajamas--legs rolled above the knee--and her hair already done up in dozens of tight pin curls.
With one final movement, she kicked off her pumps, hopped into the berth, and was no doubt fast asleep long before the rest of us had even started getting ready for bed.

:D 'Fraid not. I can claim the turban, pincurls, pumps and blue jammies on a solo trip from L.A. to Minneapolis in 1953. But, alas, no fur coat! The hair WAS blonde then, though. :D
