The Chehalis (WA) Camera crew on the Virtual Railfan channel on YouTube had a get together at the camera last weekend. Shown are a few members, the cameras and a southbound UP stack train. It started raining again a few minutes later.

Only 5 hours late.
SD40-2 with snoot nose. These low noses were 123" instead of the standard 81" or 88". They housed the Locotrol equipment, an early form of DPU, although it was mostly unsuccessful.

Yessir an EMD demonstrator EMDX 3, it was a wreck replacement with the SD60 Oakway units, it rode on the radial trucks. Good catch.

It's a lovely thing when the DPU is facing backward, especially in great light! BNSF 3904 is shoving a train through Dallesport toward Vancouver, WA, on July 25, 2020.

During their tenure on the Frisco almost all Alco F type units were repowered by EMD, Also Frisco Alco FA units didnt get front MU connections, so they were either in lead or last trailing units. I built, painted, decaled and weathered these units over a number of years.
