Hi,

Some trees I've made from wire and noch foliage.
I'm a starter, any thoughts would be very appreciated.

From a distance they looked funny, but up close they look awesome! Have you read Jos' trees article?

Thanks for appreciation, jbaakko.

They do look strange in the first pictures. It must be my camera :D . I must learn some of it's settings  .

I haven't read yet the article you mentioned, but I'd like to. What's Jos's exact username (a search on article written by "Jos" returns "Invalid User specified" ). ?

Nice work. I like the look! These would be awesome in front of office buildings or train stations, IMHO.

Guys, I'm really happy you do like my work :).

I'd be happy to post pics on the way I've build these, but at this moment I don't have any.

I'll take some pics as soon as possible and I'll post here.

I'll also publish some more articles on the process on myHobbyModels . Feel free to check when these will be available in the "explore news" page ( http://www.myhobbymodels.com/Explore ) ( I will also post the pics here anyway).

They look very nice. Like a manicured tree. One thing I loved about Jos's trees is they have an airy look to them. Not clumps. It's like you could climb them. I like your bark look. :) I really loved the guys trees on here that were white birch ones

Viorel: I had a look at and watched your website and I think( KNOW) your are doing fine! And keep taking pictures from what you made because the eye of a camara shows you perfect EVERYTHING so also the part that you "overlooked"because you were in the midle of that building/modelling strugle...
May be a tip: Watch some websites on internet with nature pictures on it like trees, forest etc. Here in Europe there is www.fotocommunity.de and aspecialy the winterpictures are soooo beautiful. You can easily see the structure/texture of the different trees. There has to be something like that in your country!
And most important os all: Go outdoors watch nature carefuly and take pictures and keep trying on and on...
Dutchman from Limburg;) Jos

Shauna
: Thank you , you like my trees

Thanks for the kind words, Jos and Shauna.

Jos, I've actually have taken 48 tree photos in my last trip :) (I have a very understanding girlfriend, she helped me to measure each three by posing next to each of them :D )

I have to put in practice some tree models...I hope for the winter vacantion :)

All the best,

You guys, I'm speaking of technical and serious things here, and you are thinking of naugthy things :p .

I mean, she was standing near each tree when I've took the picture, so then I might be able to determine the exact tree size (I know her height, so by counting the pixels in the photo, and a bit of math, I can tell exactly each branch size).

All the best,
Viorel,

It's OK to have family posing next to a tree just don't count on the accurassy if that person is still growing up,,, your tree's could end up way out of scale;) :p ;)
:D :D :D

Steve BHa ha ha I don 't have to bother about that!!;) because she will not grow in lenght anymore and she was the CHOSEN ONE for this "job":D anyway she likes walking thru nature just like me....:)
