Izz a joke?

I originally designed many of these as deck load cargo for a 1:120 scale APA (Attack Transport) and a 1:133 LSM that I scratch built. With 3D printing items can be scaled up and down a bit successfully. If one goes small, some things such as hand grabs etc need to be scaled up a little, and can be reduced if the model is scaled up.

The shipboard vehicles were equipped with Microscale decals and I may also do that for these as HO decals are available.

Cheers: Tom

I have seen a photo of a really strange auto in Skagway with a hood a little like the old Mack Trucks of the 1920's. More likely might be a version or two of the Model A Ford, fairly easy shapes. What color, any color you want so long as it's black?

Love the results, I have a whole load of bought items, wonder if any attract your attention, if so I have other items still in boxes,.These are part of a museum set up so you might find more modern stuff in the mix.
Very impressed with your results.

A nice collection you have there. I like to try to produce everything myself, it's a challenge, in my ship models I use no PE or other produced components. I did buy two locomotives, my downfall...

No I wasn’t mean you might want to buy them, I understand you are printing your own, only that they may interest as potential types to print off
i notice you are changing scales of items you previously produced, and sizing of detail handles etc may be adjusted so people perceive them, I find that seriously impressive.

Dad had a CJ 5. It was nearly my first roll over accident as a driver on a gravel dirt road. I remember him (He was a retired Marine, so he had seen it all) reaching for the wheel from the passenger's seat and then backing off. I assume because to pull the wheel closer would only have rolled us over--he had no control of the pedals. So he let me run it out. I climbed the CJ-5 up the inside embankment not having overturned after all.

^ My little story.

As regards the DUCW. He was the first platoon leader of the First Shore Party battalion, of the the First Marine Division. Korea, at Pusan. These were the guys in charge of the actual landings.

But he told me a story: Excersize. He's in command of a DUCKW, about seven miles off the beach, back of Camp Pendelton in CA. Six inches of freeboard, bailing like mad, and two panicked Marines in his boat who can't swim.

They made the beach. But had they not, he would have proffered himself as flotsam. I'm sure he would.

And here's why.

The Model T only came in black because the production line required compromise so that efficiency and improved quality could be achieved.
