Finishing the POW at the club

Tonight, I took on the task of finally working on a neglected area of our model railroad club. The area (The Port Of Wilmington) was redesigned last year by another member of the club. The track was laid and a few objects were put in place to give it life, but not enough. This thread will show my weekly progress on the area. As of right now, I'm working on a scrap yard that looks nothing like a scrap yard. I'm using Woodland Scenic medium black ballast and fine brown ballast as grounds for the yard. A coat of paint will be applied tomorrow night and ballasting begins Saturday.

I'll take one tonight after I clean. Practically nothing besides 2 legs of track have been placed.

We're about 1/4 of the way done. Only 3/4 of it is ballasted. Final coating of grass has yet to be placed, although some bushes and trees have.

I also made this for the yard. I used some spare nail polish remover, rags, rust pens, and sharpie to give it a tool shed look.
