Athearn Trains has jus rolled out the SD40-2 leasing schemes. They have EMD leasing number 6381(8006) First Union Leasing #3004(8005) 2 roadnumbers for Helm leasing #6000 AND #6225

By the picture of it I cannot tell. My guess I don't think so but I can be wrong. I'm looking at a pictucre of Helm Leasing #6000 which is a SD40-3. I will try to borrow my sister phone to take a picture of it.
 


HLCX 6000 and 6225 were in the old run of RTR (upgraded blue boxes) back in 2004. Are you sure they're in the new run? Do you have a link to the Athearn announcement page?

All of the new runs are retooled to have see-thru fans, factory installed wire grabs, prototypical handrail mountings, and a DCC-quick plug.
 
I have an athrean diesel locomotive book that jus came out with my LHS. I'm not sure which it is due to the page its on jus show prototype infomation on it. Its on the page right after the SD70MAC
 
Must be an outdated one then. It probably doesn't show the year, or it's for N scale.

If you sign up for Athearn News. They will email you those announcement sheets that they put together into the book. They mail the dealers pages to add to the book when more items are announced.
