If you got junk, I can probably make use of it somehow.
Had Mossley out in the garden today doing a bit of cleaning and prep for Dukinfield Exhibition next Weekend as part of the CRM layout. Couldn't resist getting the camera out too
"Rail Road 2009" at Astley Sports College in Dukinfield
Some select shots from my cloudy, windy, cold day on Cajon Pass (yesterday).
Josh, were those two boxcars and caboose moving in a train or what? Pretty nice shots whatever was happening.
Directly in the middle of a stored CWR (continuous welded rail) train.
Replaced the round "peg" bolster with a Genesis version, originally designed for the Genesis 5161 covered hoppers. Makes the car a WHOLE lot less wobbly!
Hmmm. I wonder why they would have two old boxcars and a BN caboose on CWR train? It would be interesting to see it in action. Good idea on that bolster. Those small round bolsters on Athearn cars usually need a fiber washer of two to get the trucks steady.
Great pictures everyone.
Crandell, I saved your river picture for reference for my bridge. What color did you paint the bottom? How thick is your 'river'? I'm tip toeing towards having to make some of these decisions.
Nice Pictures everyone! Let me toss on on the pile.
I shot it last weekend at the train show in Timonium MD, it's my Maryland Midland excursion/
Entertrainment Line train. Usually I run a pair on matched GP9's (as it was when I worked on it) but I decided this show would be backdated a little farther. MMID had a pair of former Milwaukee Road FP7's, painted in a retro
Western Maryland speed lettering paint job. 97C and 1 of the geeps were standard power for a while for this train, until the FP's left the property. Hope you enjoy my memories!

Nice pics as usual folks. I thought I'd throw this little fella into the mix just for grins and giggles.
Car is a MTL Z scale GT gondola with a scratchbuilt steel coil load made with Evergreen telescoping tubing. Not quite finished as the coils are lacking banding yet.
no photo's of the HO scale, but did do some railfanning on thursday of the full scale kind
And found this old trailor by accident in an industrial park here in NNJ. There's been a few E-L and PC trailors photographed up here too.
Progress has been slow as the threat of moving lingers. Anywho I have made some progress. I have a freind that got boxes of plaster cloth that was too old for medical use (yay me

) So I got my mountains mostly built, still some more sculptamold to get down and smooth. I will say medical plaster cloth is so much easier to work with, (it was Johnson and Johnson) over WS. It doesn't stick to itself, most of the plaster doesn't come of the second it touches water, and the zillions of holes you get with WS you don't get. It isn't quite as flexible and alittle harder to work with but it does dry much harder. All of the vertical places around the bases of the mountains and the areas behind the power plant and where the tunnel is will be rockfaces. So small question. Has anyone used Cripple Brush Rubber Rocks or Bragdon Models molds? In MRR the rubber rocks looked good, but are they as nice in person? Since I dont want a bunch of the same rocks the rubber ones seem like a better price for my needs and they seem relativley easy to install. Thanks for any input. Hopefully I'll get some more ballast and the rest of my track and roadbed down tommorrow. And if you are still reading this please excuse the spelling its 1:11 here.

Happy Easter!

Yup! Talked to the seller, requested a dozen more, so I can upgrade my whole fleet of those cars.
Well seeing its Easter I will post these pics a took a while back at work. Not the best quality but there wasnt much I could do with a cheap camera, LOL.
Nothing says Easter like some graffiti on a box car.
John, that module looks great with all the extra details to the housing block.
Karl, nice shot and really nice models.
Mike, I've used Bragdon and Woodland Scenics rock molds before and both do a nice job. Your problems with plaster is one of the reasons I really like using foam.
Mark, how did you manage to find the Easter Bunny at just the right time?
Jeffrey, that's a well used RBOX car.
I just finished installing a DZ125 decoder in this GP40. Anybody notice anything unusual about it? Put your sharp peepers to work.
Nope, nice try though. It's something quite obvious.
