The Main yard. Doug Models NS, but most of his Rolling stock is bought with size in mind, not era.

Commercial Metals is one of the largest industries on the layout.

Another important customer is this Georgia Pacific saw mill

It wouldn't be a Tennessee Layout without a Moonshine Still.

One of Doug's Kitbashed 40ft Woodchip cars.

Looks very nice, and who cares if the cars are shorty versions/chosen on length. If you want your trains to run, I'll take reliability over prototype fidelity, as long as everything 'looks goods/makes sense,' any day. Not everybody has room for 36" radius curves in HO. Scenery looks great-bet it runs well too.

I'd be interested to know if the owner wishes he used nickel silver, instead of what looks like brass in the yard? Depending upon when that section was built, brass may have been good enough, and he's continued to use it/recycle it, as he's expanded/moved the layout. Ought to be some serious lessons learned by the owner, that a new comer could use.

Two thumbs up in my book! Love to see and learn more!!

Otis
