Hi folks
I am looking at my new layout having two main lines all the way around the room. I am modeling a prototype which doesn't have double main all the way but I want a layout where you can let a couple of trains run without having to stop to let one go by.
I am thinking about a couple of double crossovers and/or single crossovers opposite to facilitate switching between the two main lines. I have heard some bad things about double crossovers and difficulty in wiring them. Does anyone with experience have any comments. If it makes any difference the layout will eventually be DCC and these may or may not be remote operated. Probably will be though. Thanks for any info.
