I'd like to add one of the Stewart U25B's with sound to my fleet. A new run is due out this year decorated for FRISCO, and I'd sure like to have one. Does anyone have a U25B, and if so what can you tell me about it? Are they a good locomotive? At one time I had a Stewart VO1000, but sold it. It was a handsome locomotive, but mine seemed very fussy. Seemed no matter how much I cleaned track, and the loco wheels and such it never ran well. Anyway, I'd appreciate any info on the Stewart U25B. Thank you!
Kermit, do you mean the former Stewart line now manufactured by Bowser? If so, have no fear, they are much improved models over the original Stewart line. Bowser made many upgrades to the mechanicals and details. They are sweet running engines. Of course, the price reflects the improvements, but a sound equipped U25B would be a nice locomotive to have.
The one I'm speaking about is a new run due out this summer or fall, and made by Bowser.
