Do you operate multiple eras?

I model Era IIIc through VI. The beauty of this is that all of the locomotives I have are still in service dating that far back, even if only in museum train service. Some are not used by the major lines any longer, but are still all in service with other companies.

I don't have any locomotives that have been permanently retired. Even the Era IIIc and IV steam locomotives are occasionally put into revenue service if for nothing else to keep them running.

I operate... what ever I want!
Any era, any railroad. But when I do get around to planning a layout, it will probably be transition era from steam to diesel.

Yes. My core era is the SP between 1946 and 1957, but I have some equipment from pre 1946 (Southern Pacific Lines lettering) and some 1958 and later: Bloody nose paint on diesels and General Service passenger paint (silver with red stripe).
