Digitrax AR-1 Question

I just picked up a couple of Digitrax AR-1 auto-reversing modules last night and I have a question. I am using 14AWG wire for my main bus. I was going to use the same for the two reverse loops, as they are each about about 20' long, but when I look at the AR-1, there is no way 14AWG wire is going to fit into the tiny holes in the screw down terminal housings, especially if I tin it first. Does anyone else use AR-1's with longer reverse loops, and if so, what gauge of wire do you use?

Thanks

I have always made a step down wire for my AR-1s; I like the heavy wire, and as long as your smaller gauge wire isn't too long, you shouldn't notice any loss of performance.

Ok, thanks Adam. I will see if 18AWG will fit, as that is what I am using for the jumpers, and I will splice a 3" length onto the ends of the bus wires.
