Did BN ever own 24’ Ore Cars-do any of you have pictures???

For Christmas I received a set of Burlington Northern 24’ Ore Hoppers and, as with all my models, I went online to get pictures of the prototype so that I might accurately weather these models.

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find a single picture of a BN 24’ ore hopper on-line or in my extensive collection of books on the Burlington Northern.

These ore hoppers were produced by ‘S’-Helper Service a company known for its attention to detail and accuracy so I doubt that they were lettered in a manner that was not accurate.

However, I can’t seem to find a prototype for a BN 24’ ore hopper.

What’s more, ‘S’-helper also produces the same ore hopper with GN lettering and I would assume that BN acquired these cars from GN, but I can’t find any pictures of those either, only CN and CP Rail.

Did BN actually own any 24’ ore hoppers? If they did do any of you have any pictures of them or know where I could find these pictures.

Jayl1,

Thank you…I actually checked out Fallen Flags and somehow missed that picture…

Now I have to figure out how to put that raised lip on my cars…
