Guys, I have a good friend who's helping me with my layout. I've been a real tool when its come to my frustrations, and he's been very patient. He's started acquiring Lehigh Valley equipment but was saying the other day that he can't find an appropriate caboose. I'd appreciate any help you can give me tracking one down. I'd like to make a gift of it to thank him for his time and patience.

Unless you can find the Overland brass models on e-bay and are willing to pay the price, you are not going to find an exact match to a Lehigh Valley caboose. The Atlas P2K version is about as close as you'll come since the LH steel cabooses were a variation on the "Northeast" style of caboose. Ether you or your friend will have to do some kitbashing to get closer to the prototype.

Lifelike (pre-Walthers) made a Lehigh Valley type Northeast caboose in plastic for N gaugers. I am looking at several that I decalled for the Reading & LV using Microscale decals. They are hard to find.
