I'm trying to decide what cab to use for my E33-2 project. The E33R-2 will have the wide cab... trying to decide home chopped nose of EMD cab. Here's the options:
Using stock nose, shortened and lowered:
Using an EMD cab: (cab would not fit, I had to hold it in postion and shoot with the other hand)
Using a GE wide cab:
wadda y'all think?
I vote for the home chopped nose.
I'm goin for it too, I like the EMD nose enough to do one or so... maybe for the MLW, or something..
I'd vote just chopping the stock nose, and adding the center windows in from the EMD cab.
Chopped nose for me too. Anything but that horrible safety cab look. Yuck!

chopped nose with the low # boards, looks great!
Ifn' It were my project I would use the 3 window EMD safety cab that was used on the early SD60Ms,even better IMO would be the 4 window Canadian safety cab.
