Has anyone had good/bad luck with various brands of decal paper? I'm ready to buy and there are so many options. I am going with white. I have a laser printer not an ink jet.

Thin Film is supposed to be one of the best. I have some but have not got to the point of printing decals for my layout.

From what i was told by another modeler (scale horse drawn modeler) is the best decals you can make you have to have a printer that will print white and then over that your color. Reason being is you want a white base for the letters or logo to stand out.

So I would say try the decal paper with a white background.

I used clear and the lettering does not stand out very good on a dark model.

The striping is all paint and it stands out really well compared to the decal lettering that I made with my ink jet printer.
