DCC Friendly Turnouts

What makes a turnout "DCC Friendly"? I saw this in the 09 Walthers catalog. Does it just have to do with isolated frogs?

That was my understanding. When you don't use isolated frogs, it can cause errors, especially in the case of inadvertent shorts.

That would be the easiest and safest thing to do to avoid any problems with short circuits, even momentary ones, can cause havoc in dcc.

Why does Free-mo require powered frogs then?
