DC wired turnouts on DCC???

This is probably a VERY stupid question...but when switching from a DC layout to a DCC....can you simply plug in the two wires from a turnout in the back of a Digitrax Zephyr and be on your way (the old powerpack had an accessory hook up)? If so where do they get plugged into? If not...am I forced to spend big $$$ on decoders for 9 turnouts I have?
Thanks all!

I'm with Robert, I have a couple old power packs being used for lighting and other duties.
When the time comes I highly recomend the Switch 8 from NCE. I just hooked mine up and can now control my Tortoise switch machines from anywhere in the room! It's absolutely fantastic, best thing I ever did next to going DCC!

Just think of the DCC controller for running trains for now and keep your switch controls hooked up just the way they are. They will work fine with DCC. If the time comes you want to change over to DCC switch machines, there are a number of ways to do it, but It's not something I'd recommend for someone just getting into DCC.
