CVP RailCommand

Is anyone familiar with the CVP Products RailCommand System?? I have one that I bought back in 1997 (before I retired from the Air Force). It's basically new in the box and I'm wondering if it's still worth the time and effort to use it, or should I start out with a new DCC system. Thank you as always for your help.

Jerome,

Well, I'm not sure I'd want to still be using a 1997 computer to surf the internet with, but as you can see at http://cvpusa.com/ they still sell RailCommand stuff. Do you have any locomotives with receivers installed in them?

Jerome,

It would probably be best to start over with DCC then. CVP still builds a good system in EasyDCC, NCE has a nice starter system in their PowerCab, and MRC is has finally joined the major leagues with the Prodigy Advanced2 (Wireless).

And that's only a small number of the available systems.
