with the QSI Quantum DCC system and Q1a sound decoder, I want to use CV 55.3.5 to turn the bell on automatically when I blow the horn. What I don't understand is the CV55.3.5. The CV55 I get but what about the .3.5? Does this make any sense?

Because of the number of CV's that QSI uses, they resorted to what they call an "Indexed CV" system with CV 49 as the primary index and CV 50 as the secondary index. When they list a CV that uses indexes, they list it as CV.primary index or CV.primary index.secondary index. Using your CV 55.3.5 as an example, you would first program CV 49 to 3, then program CV 50 to 5, and finally program CV 55 to the desired value.
