Custom Decals, where do you get yours?

Where do you guys order your custom decals from when you need them? I'm trying to find a good place to do business with for my custom fleet of dump trucks and cement trucks. I found a guy on eBay but he said he can't do what I need which really doesnt look that hard... But if he's not willing to try then I guess he doesn't need my business...

I know some of you probably print your own, which I've done in the past and honestly mine didn't come out to what I was expecting, and for me to get better results would require me to go out and buy another printer.

Thanks in advance,

Josh,

I go to William Brillinger. He does all my fleet decals. you can send him a pic of what you need or he will work with you to come up with your own design. He's done all my UP decals Alliant energy decals and is currently working on my Iowa State Patrol decals.

He did these trucks

Josh, although I haven't had any made, I looked into it last year, Rail Graphics has a good price structure and can print a good number for a fair price. They were the cheapest and seem to use the best decal making process, (silk screening). They make decals for Westerfield, Bethlehem Car Works and others. Here's their website.

CJ, thanks for the link, I will check them out as well!

You have contact info for this guy?

I walk right down the hall to my office and do mine. Contact me off list for more info as I don't believe I am allowed to post my web site on the forum.

danpik, do you have any pictures of models that you've applied decals too? could you pm me the website?

Many of you know I'm a long time pro photographer and work with high quality printers and photographic equipment to turn out very high quality work. Ink droplets are microscopic in size producing the highest quality images.

I also own Foothill Station MRR supplies as well as offering the various media to print decals with and I can also make custom decals for you as I also have desktop publishing and photo programs to use.

There are several types of media available depending on the surface and application you desire.

Inkjet Decals & custom printed Decals can be done on:
Water Slide paper;
Rub-off Decal film;
Wood Decal Paper;

If you have a Laser printer here is paper for that.
Laser Decal Paper;

Pricing will be in line with the rest for custom work.

Decal paper is also available so let me know what you need?

Contact information below.

Thanks for the info Steve.

I looked at their site, they do seem to be a bit pricy but I am keeping them in mind :)

yea they are a bit pricey but they do the artwork, layout and printing. Maybe by the fall i'll think about it more. BUt I did buy waterslide decal paper for a inkjet printer. You need to spray it with gloss clear coat afterwards. I haven't tried it so I dont know how they'll turn out. But this would be for anything that does not require actual artwork.
Like I want a logo for my freelanced railroad with a nice font, that i'de pay to have done thru custom decals.
