Isn't the biggest part of these trains standing trackside and watching it go by? What are they going to do, set up big monitors for the spectators?

For railfans maybe, but a big part of the train program and interacting with the community are the stops it makes in selected towns/cities across the country. These draw people in with a music concert and they usually collect donations to support local food banks and similar programs.
