Cost of Painting Fantasy locomotives.

Whats a ballpark figure for painting fantasy HO locomotives?

I know it depends on colors, decals and difficulty but for something like the following.

D&H Lightning Stripes:
3 basic colors.
1 Stripe
2 Curves per side
No commercially available decals.

CP Rail Beaver Scheme:
2 Bacis Colors
No commercially availble decals (although AC4400 decals may work)

I know there are plenty of people here that do custom paint work, and if anyone wants to give me an actual estimate, feel free to PM me.

Oh yeah, and id love to see your fantasy units :D
 
Why wouldn't commercially made decals work?? Just have to use 2 sets for the D&H one. Stripes over the grills is always a pain in the rear (whether is be decals or painting). You might consider just leaving that area blank.

I figured the wide cab would mess everything up on the D&H one. The stripe over the grills is just runover from where i continued the line. What would you recommend doing with the grills?
 
You can leave the strip off the grills and weather them up a bit to camouflage the fact that it's not there.

I charge per color. $40 for one, $45 for 2, $50 for 3... Decals can be salvaged from a Microscale sheet, so no worries there.
