Greetings,
I just purchased a new/used Atlas Dash 8-40cw silver locomotive and I wanted to upgrade it to DCC. What I need help with is what decoder is best for this model and what speakers do I need to get that will fit in this model. I'm interested in having good sound features and a decoder that will offer me all the model has to offer.

Ulrich Models has a really nice sounding FDL-16 custom Loksound decoder.

If you want to use the original housings in the loco for the speakers, you can get dual 1" speakers for it.

Be sure to clip the negative leads (the ones without resistors) to the ditch lights and wire them up to the function outputs if you want them to flash!
