Club will buy collections

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

I'm in the North Shore Model Railroad Club, in Wakefield Massachusetts. One of the ways that the club supports itself is to buy collections, often owned by deceased model railroaders, and then we resell the material at shows. The member who's in charge of that side of the operation says that our inventory is currently low, and we should all be posting messages to try and find some deals! So if you know anyone who wants to dispose of model railroad equipment, we'd be interested.

We do have some restrictions (based on what we've been able to sell in the past):
- HO scale only.
- No Tyco stuff. It at least needs to be high-quality plastic, or brass.
- It's an advantage if the material is located in the northeastern USA. But our people are willing to travel outside the eastern Massachusetts area, if a purchase is worthwhile.
