One of my favorite aspects of this hobby is working on HO scale vehicles.
Some of my earlier work involved these jeeps that were close enough to 1/87
scale.

The first picture shows the "as is" model.
The other pics show the result of making a few modifications......

The figures are by prieser and hand painted using the "chalk and glue" method.
The jeep is painted with the "chalk and glue" method aslo.
Bumpers are made of match sticks, headlights are glue and the windshield is covered with tape.
 
Another jeep....

Here's another jeep done in a military theme.
Left it pretty much as is, but added a canvas top and windshield.
The figure is also a prieser.
Both the jeep and figure are painted with the same method as the first.
Canvas is made from tissue paper and the rear portion is made from time card stock.
 
Awesome Jeeps! That reminds me there's a metal Jeep at an LHS I've wanted for a while.
