This clinic is just a TAD longer, as I've also added the sharpening portion, as the resizing isn't allways perfect.

You can download IrfanView here.

This topic begins after you have allready opened the image with IrfanView.

Click the 'Image' tab, and select Resize/Resample or use the keyboard short cut, Ctrl + R.

Making sure "Preserve aspect ratio" is selected, type 1024 or 800 into the Width box. The Height should scale accordingly. You can also select the bullet next to the size you would like. Now click OK

Sharpening, this step can be left out, but I added it to help make your images clearer. Click the 'Image' tab, and select Sharpen, or use the keyboard short cut, Shift + S.

Now to save. Click the 'File' tab, and select Save or Save as.... (continued in next post...)

Select JPG - JPEG Files for the 'Save as type' (as this works best on the internet and anyone's computer). Now to the right you'll see a 'JPEG/GIF Save Options' box. Slide the 'Save Quality' line to 75%-80%. This is the compression ratio. Type in your file name (if Save as...), and click Save.

Now you're done, go upload the files!
