Check this out!

Guys,

I bought a new notebook the other week with a quad core processor and upgraded my 3D CAD program. The end result is that I am finally able to load an entire locomotive assembly into a single file and edit it.

I'll be revising the drawings to reflect the actual 3D CAD files used for production and any update but here is a sample using files that I already had together.

The cool thing is almost everything you see accept add on details in some areas is already in stock or in tooling. You can also compare with recent images of our clean air room sides and understand that we have been working VERY hard to bring you the best complete model kit option on the market for the SD40-2W, GP38-2W, and GP40-2W. Additional "prototype correct" kits will follow and of course all of our stuff will be usable for other railways in a modular build.

Thanks, we have T1 samples arriving for the drive, trucks, hoods, and fans in the next few days and weeks. We're also almost ready to release stanchions, handrails and the clean air room bases.

Please send us whatever support you can, this push is going to deliver these items quickly. Most of the hard work is already done.

Guys,

These are a bit cleaned up.

We have a T1 sale for the next two weeks. The db's, fans, hoods, side-frames, and traction motor T1 samples are all inbound.

Another frame production is also in progress and we have clean air room bases and stanchions entering the pre-production T2 phase of tooling.

So the sale is going to help ease the pain.

Thanks,

Those pictures are sweet looking. Very detailed.

I do have a question or two. Are you going to do more EMD's? If so, is the SD38-2 one of them?

Hi,

Yes. The first full kits will be the SD40-2W, GP38-2W, GP40-2W, and GP40-2L.

Next will be some spartan cab releases of both EMD/GMDD prototypes.

The initial hood release will do the SD40/40-2, GP40/40-2, GP38-2, and SD38-2. We have both 43' 6" bolster and 34' bolster frames in stock. Fuel tanks from the 1700 US GAL up to the 5000 US GAL are in stock.

So the modular nature of the tooling means we will have numerous types of locomotives available quickly after the first batch are released.

Our first two trucks and drive cover the Blomberg B/M, and HTC variations. The trucks and drive are all in tooling and we expect the first test samples by the end of the month.

All the best,
