Can someone post a pic of the difference between blended and coarse turf

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

There are two differences. The blended is a lighter green than their evergreen green, which is quite dark. The blended is fairly fine when it goes down. The coarse turf is almost grain of sugar sized...about two to three times the size of the average blended turf particle.

In the image below, the stuff in the foreground is coarse turf, and is light green. The blended is a darker green and much finer.

Hi Gerry: Crandell's explanation and photo is an excellent example of those products. I would only add that Woodland Scenics has two colors of blended turf, green and brown. And, many colors of coarse turf. Here's another example.
