I have added pics in the past by uploading them to my laptop from my Iphone then clicking "Attach files". Recently that doesn't work... the image shows 0% and never uploads to my post.
I tried using the "Insert image" button but get a message that says something like "Oops we ran into some problems. The file was not an image as expected"
Can anyone help? Thanks, all!
Can you view the images on your laptop okay?

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I can. They are JPG files if that makes a difference

Just tried to add pic here but it was a HEIC file. Said "File type invalid"
I used to be able to do this

Have you tried to copy and paste the photos? That is how I share photos.

That sounds like an IOS image file. The forum doesn't allow those image extensions. Apple will sometimes change things like default file types when they send out updates, and the only way people find out about it is when things that used to work, don't. Check what default image files your phone is using, then change it back to a type that's accepted everywhere else other than Appleland.

Thanks but what file type(s) should I change it to?

Nearly anything other then HEIC. JPG, PNG and GIF are all supported.
Thanks. I thought the three pics I tried to post the other day were JPG according to what it said under "Properties" but maybe I'm wrong. I'll try again.

If they came from your iPhone, they were probably in HEIC format. If you uploaded them to your laptop, it probably didn't convert them properly. You can go into the photos on your phone, edit the size slightly, and save them. When you do that, your phone will save them as JPG files.
