This is really basic but IO want to make sure I understand it.:rolleyes:

If I understand correctly, I should be running a bus wire as shown in the attached pic. Red lines are the bus wires. Track feeds would then be attached to the bus wires. Also, the bus wires going around the layout should not be joined. Right?:confused:

That is basically correct, although you don't need three of them (one going to the peninsula with your staging yard/classification yard). Just run two pairs of wires up either side of the layout, and where you encounter the peninsula, tap into the bus and make a sub-bus, same gauge of wire, same drill with the feeders.
