But it wasn't all peaches and roses. I like the Branchline Blueprint kits in general. This is the second one I've built. But when I finished this one I discovered the doors were not the correct size, and one set was even a different color. So I sent Branchline an email only to discover they sold all their kits and parts and molds to Atlas eight years ago.
Luckily I had a second 50' double door boxcar kit from them and mixing and matching the doors got them close enough for both kits that I think I can make it work. But still, it's a bit annoying.
Here's the finished product. I looks like I need to straighten out the right hand door a little.
Here's the B end. There was no roof walk in this kit, though it has the holes for the roof walk end supports...
So I'm not sure if the roof walk was just left out, or if there isn't supposed to be one.
It is a nicely detailed model and will look great with some weathering.
