Good looking model. Just out of curiousity, did these types of large cranes have outriggers to stabilize them with large loads or was the weight of the car enough to keep it stable?

Outrigger's were on each corner of the deck for really heavy loads,most times supported by heavy cribbing. sorry i couldn't find a picture with the outriggers extended but look carefully at the corner's of this SP unit.
the outriggers look like heavy I beams.

Thanks, GN. I kind of figured they must have some outrigger system but I was never able to spot them on a model. I can see them on the prototype photo but I guess they just get left off models.

The outriggers are there on the model photo above, now that I know what to look for.
