Ok, I have spent the last two hours searching for a company like Plastruct.(except one that deals in Brass)

The only ones I can find are in the UK.

Where do you guys get your stuff? I want to try my hand in building with brass. I think in some cases it would be easier to shape things out of metal then plastic.

I feel pretty dumb. I thought it was harder to come by then that.

Not only Does my local hobby shop carry this stuff, so does Ace Hardware.

I started my new project today.

I was going to suggest checking your local yellow pages for dealers in the metal supply section. I have always wondered why it has to be brass rods every time. I can see if your building a locomotive but in other aspects. For ease of locating, I dont personally think its necessary to get brass rod.

Not only Does my local hobby shop carry this stuff. But so does Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Home Depot (I think??), Ace Hardware. All within 5 miles of my house.

I started my new project today.

So I have to ask since I am doing a couple of projects in brass; What is the new project??

Right now im just building a crane boom to get my feet wet. I need practice for my next project.
Already came to the conclusion I need a different iron. Also some gloves! I burned my fingers in three spots all ready. I've only joined a few parts! For some reason the brain is slower then my fingers. When I'm holding a part I just reach for the Iron and lo and behold it's the wrong end!
