Here are some pics of the Bogenville Terminal Ry., which manages the junction and small yard formed by the interchange of the CNR and CPR in fictional Bogenville.

As you can guess, it's proto-freelanced. I am using Central Valley Ties system and Micro-engineering code 83 and 70 rail. All I've done so far is lay the ties. Next step will be to airbrush them, then lay the roadbed. Glue the ties, then glue the rails along with wire it. I think I can have it running before Xmas.

There will be a 4x6 extension attached to the yard end, and then 16"x4ft They will be attached perpendicular to the 4x8 section in the photos, to make a "U" shape layout.

This is part of a much larger layout that I will build as space becomes available.

Thanks for looking. :)

That looks nice, you have fit some really cool trackwork into a small space. Looks like quite a bit of thought went into this.

Tell me, how easy are the turnouts to build? I'm thinking of using those for my layout (assuming I ever get off my butt and build the dang thing :D)

Well, I wouldn't say they're are as hard as handlaying, but they do require patience and precision. They come with half frogs and cast pewter points, so the really hard stuff is done. I think the hardest part of assembling the switch is forming the diverging rails just past the frog. Still, not that tough. I'll post pics of a switch with tracks laid soon.

BTW, I can't claim I came up with the track plan. It's part of a plan from Model Railroading's 102 Trackplans.

Nice looking layout and track plan. I suspect having it running by Christmas may be a little ambitious but I'll be interested to see if you can really do it. :)
