I'd like some pics and opinion on train bridges that have ballasted track, rather than the closely spaced ties and gaps in between.

I don't know what kind of opinion you're looking for, I like them and they're easy to model if that's what you mean.
Here's some shots of a ballasted deck bridge on the CPR in BC, altho it's refered to as a viaduct in this particular case.
I forget how long it is, a few miles anyway.
That's really cool, I've never seen a pic of a ballasted deck with the grated walkway next to it. Do you have any shots of the bridge structure from below?
BNSF bridges around here are either ballasted or have long metal pans under the ties, probably to catch gunk from dripping down onto the street below.

Actually the only pics I have are from the bridges.
It's great to work on the RR but hard to railfan when you're on the tracks.
