Whoa, sounds like someone is big trouble. :eek: Good thing the locomotives didn't make it further down the bridge and hit the bridge structure. That could have meant weeks of delays.
 
typical Rail Link! think they said 8 locomotives rolled out of can st yard, where they build the Z trains. looks like they derailed right on the lumber st lift bridge. absolutely beautiful. units probably didn't have 100% of their hand brakes applied, and if i remember right there is a derail on the yard lead headed towards lumber street, no idea why it wasn't down. someone is gonna get yelled at, then the UP crews are gonna have to deal with a lot more BS when they head down for the bird. FTX tests are gonna increase all over, too. on another note, bet the bridge operator soiled his shorts when he saw those loose motors headed for his rickety old bridge!
