Bachmann track accessory ?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but does anyone know what this part is for? I bought a used Bachmann speed controller and this came with it. I was thinking it goes on the track but I've never seen one before.

While I actually have no clue because I don't use anything Bachmann, it looks like it might be a power connector for track. Insert power feeds into the box on the right and clip the other side to your track?

Yes, it is a track clip to transfer the power from the wire to the track. Should clip on the bottom of the track between ties. Then the speed controller should have come with a wire with a special plug that fits into this. Basically clip, plug plug and one is ready to roll.
