Now that I have more time...

Take a close look at that turntable.
It's scratch built, and while not decorated yet, it it unique in the world and is quite nice.
Well, at least to me it is.

I used two giant roller bearings, a large bolt, and some cpvc pipe to make a zero slop, but free spinning spindle.
Fabricated a bridge frame from sheet metal.
We have 360 degree freedom, and something very special - an aligning lock.
You see, all you have to do is rotate the bridge until it gets somewhat close. Then you engage the locker, it moves the bridge into perfect alignment, locks it there, and routes power to the aligned tracks.

No digital BS is used.
Never misses alignment.
Never needs cleaning.

It is literally a dream come true!

The section of the layout you see in the pic is about one third of the whole thing.
Everything modular, max module size being "32 x "48.

Hand laid, spiked, code 80 with a few pieces of hidden flex.

We make hidden remote uncouplers that actually work.
You can see dozens of them already installed in the yard modules.

Note how all the curved crossovers allowed for a much bigger yard...

I only work on her for a few months each year, so things move slowly - but it is almost that time again.

Of course, more to come later.
