automation at County Gate

Now that the automation is all working, I had been waiting for son in law to come and film it.

I finally realised that I have a video camera in my Panasonic Lumix.............Duh. It uses MOV files and eventually I found a free programme to convert to WMV called Prism Video Converter.

So for those interested, here is my hand held attempt at County Gate movie making.

beware, 60mb download

I'm downloading it now, but you should consider putting it on youtube. The host you're using doesn't seem to be very fast, get a few users downloading this simultaneously and it'll crawl....

Your layout is very sharp.

The movie worked fine for me with only one short period of bufferng but I'm on a pretty fast connection (when it works). I like all the nature sounds you added and working signals look pretty cool. That fiddle yard is great - I'd kill for one. :) Nice work and the layout looks even better on video.

Hi JdF: Great looking layout. I, too like the background sounds, esp. the doves. Pretty good video. I too, have a Panasonic Lumix, and have been trying without success, to find a way to import video in mov. format into WMM. Thanks for the tip on Prism Video Converter, I'll have to give it a try. Thank you. The sounds were samples given to me, many by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Bird sounds change throughout the year and we wanted the right sounds for June. I put the sounds together using Audacity. We also have a second CD which is under the harbour with dock, seagull and sea sounds.

I found it most irritating that my camera stored in a difficult format. They could at least have supplied software.
