Define 'fit'. If you want the Athearn to have a hole for the Atlas part, it won't. If you want to take an Atlas part and put it on an Athearn go ahead. You could even put in a Tyco or BLI if you want but be prepared to cut and paste. You could also use detail parts from Details West and Details Associates. Tichy, BLMA and others make nice grabs. Generally getting rid of chuncky plastic bits and replacing them with finer metal is a good thing. Cannon makes nice fans, Plano has fan hatches to make older GP38-2s. You can do whatever you want, it's just parts.

They fit just as good as any other aftermarket detail! I use Atlas parts in a number of places, though it seems like they discontinue every part I need after I order a test batch...

Paul and Josh, thanks!! :D

Paul you mentioned DA and DW, i need to give them a good look, i need to get some other details for my locos anyways so i can see if i can do up an order and get everything i need from them lol

Josh, LOL, that seems to happen to most of us

As Paul and Josh said, any part will fit on any engine if you are willing to do some drilling and maybe putty work. I'd personally spend a little extra and get some Detail West parts that will look better on your finished model.

I made a short list of detail parts that i would like to get, unfortunately i wont be able to order anything for a little while i dont think :( no money right now lol

Just a few generic details for my locos lol

What roads because most of the plows on the BN/BNSF seem to be DW 303. Same as 155 but without the doors. Then there are the folks that roll their own. Gordon Cannon comes to mind, RIP, for his BL20-2.

Hi Paul, i just put a variety of plows on there lol, but maybe you could tell me which ones i need. I have BNSF, BN, UP, CNW, SP, and CSX locos.....

Josh, the 155 and 140 plows will do fine for most UP and SP engines. Not sure what you're going to use the 110 plows on but footboards were gone from plows by the late 70's. Since money is tight, you really should try scratchbuilding your own GPS domes and sunshades. The GPS domes can be made with some old kit sprues with a little persuasion from a soldering iron and an xacto knife. Use one sunshade you already have as a template and then cut a bunch more from one of the 99 cent plastic for sale type signs at Wallyworld. They'll look just as good as the ones you pay for when they're painted.
