Have any articles been published or any suggestions on how to remove the dynamic braking from Atlas HO C424 shells to make them non D/B units such as BRC,GBW etc? Thanks in advance.

There was an article long ago in Model Railroader. You may be able to do a search for articles indexed. I did one from the article, it involved filing the top grid down and fabricating a thin rectangular hatch to the same size as the grid. The cooling grids above the side doors on both sides need filled in also.
