So here is the story with these things lol

I FINALLY got Athearns 53' Wabash Duraplate Trailers after being on pre-order for since May 2008, i got 5 of the 6 sets i ordered back in December just before Christmas, and the last of them finally came today. This is the WERNER Enterprises 53' trailer 2 pack.

I have to say, these trailers are BEAUTIFUL and ALMOST worth the wait :D LOL The small lettering is fair, being legible for the most part (in the pics below, if you cant read the lettering, its mostly due to the fact that i didnt get it focused right lol)

ALL the trailers come with 2 different trailer numbers. For each trailer there are 2 sets available, each set containing 2 trailers with 2 different trailer numbers, making a total of 4 different trailer numbers for each company in the current run by Athearn.

Man am i glad to have these things in my hands :D

Ill post a couple shots of the Werner ones right now, but the others will have to wait till tomorrow (my camera battery died on the last shot i took of the Werner ones lol)

Looks like the detail is pretty good on the trailers. What brand of trucks are you using in that one?

Hi Carl, thanks :D

They have great detail. The cab that i used with the Werner Trailer is a Promotex model, most of my cabs are from Promotex, they make great models :D

I too have these but I cant find the battery door for my camera.
I just wish they would bring out the trucks for them as well

LOL well when you are able to post pics, i look forward to them :D

And that would be cool if Athearn did the cabs for them as well :D Maybe they will some day lol

As you can see, the driver of this rig just barely made that turn and cleared the stacks of bricks :D

Those trailers look great. I'll have to buy myself a bunch, need to stock the spine car up...

Looked upo the trailers on the Athearn site earlier and saw the "England" version. I'll need to get a set of those for sure and maybe a few more after that..

The England ones are Reefer trailers, and i will definitely be getting at least one of each of all those sets as well :D

Swift and Schneider I always stayed away from those companys when on the road. too many new drivers in those rigs that need more practice. I have meet good drivers from both but I hate to say that the majority were just guys looking for a inbetween job and found out that all you needed was a few weeks on the job paid training to pass the test. Knight england and Werner seam to be ok.

hows this for a trailer.?
