Athearn GP9

Does the Athearn GP9 shell sit on other chassis? I've got a couple nice shells that I'd like to find a chassis for.

Oh....and what is up with the shells on Ebay that the sellers indicate "China" in the title. Do these fit? Poor quality? What's the story on those?

the GP9s dont fit on any other drives/frames that I know of off the top of my head

The Athearn GP-9 shells (and the SD-9) were too wide. The reason for this was so that they would fit over the old Athearn Jet motor. If the too wide hood doesn't bother you, Used Chassis should not be hard to find. I had several of these, and liked them until I saw them next to the Atlas unit (some 15 years ago) They're all gone now.

I'm actually looking for some dummy chassis. I've got a chassis that was driven but the guts are shot. I could convert it I suppose.
